Zero-Tolerance for teh Burning Stoopid. . . .

Today, we have yet another tale of massive over-reaction thanks to a Zero-Sentience, excuse me, Zero-TOLERANCE policy. . . .

First, an update: you may remember Josh Welch, aka "Pop-Tart Gun Boy".  Today, he was honored by his state legislator, Delegate Nick Kipke, and awarded a life-time membership in the NRA. . .

But this is the People's Republic of Maryland we're talking about, and as such, the balance of the Universe demanded a truly idiotic act balance it out. . .

And Calvert County, Maryland delivered. . . .

We jump to the town of Lusby, Maryland, and Dowell Elementary School. . . .
. . .and, oh, my, it's an official Green School !!   As Master Yoda would say, the Stoopid is strong here. . .

But sometime, earlier this week, a kindergarten student decided to show his best friend the nifty Cowboy Cap Gun he had gotten at Frontier Town, in Ocean City, Maryland. . . . .

And THAT is where the trouble began . . .   Someone reported that the boy pointed this utterly deadly weapon at someone and said "bang!".  Although eyewitness reports, including that of the boy and his sister, who was ALSO on the bus, said that never happened.

After being reported, the boy was interrogated by school officials for approximately two HOURS, before his mother was called.   And sometime during this interrogation, for some reason  (Stress ??  Official simply not letting him go ??) he wet his pants.   It could have been worse: if he had left a roll of caps in the toy, the Principal has stated that she would have called the Police, as he also would have had EXPLOSIVES.

Now, there are several questions here.  First, if this was so serious, why did they take two hours to call the mother ??  Last time I enrolled a child in ANY school, we needed to supply (and update. . . ) home, cell, and work numbers, as well as email.  You can't even give a sick child an aspirin without parental notification and permission.  And yet isolating a 5-year-old boy, and stressing him to the point of involuntary urination is ok ???

Second, it's OBVIOUSLY a toy. ALL toy guns have had to have readily identifiable marks, generally brightly-colored orange muzzle caps, to distinguish them from a REAL gun, and have been required to do so since the late 1980s.  So there was obviously no danger.  In fact, the ONLY reason to make toy guns an "offense" is indoctrination to develop Hoplophobia in as many inmates, excuse me, STUDENTS enrolled in the State Indoctrination Facilities that call themselves our Public Schools.   This is part of the larger anti-violence indoctrination that teaches victims not to fight back against bullies, lest they be assessed equal punishment for the high crime of standing up for themselves.

Because, a student who defends him or herself may later defend their rights as a citizen, instead of being a compliant consumer-revenue unit who waits for the authorities to intervene. . . Zero-tolerance is the flip-side of this: action that requires no thinking, used to train youth into not thinking for themselves.

No WONDER we've been hearing all these examples lately, and almost all from "Blue" states, or at least "Blue" areas: group-centered politics encourages groupthink, and discourages individuals choosing their own actions. . .

There is an update to this story, but I have not found it online: it WAS reported on WMAL Radio in Washington DC this afternoon:  The 5-year-old-boy will NOT be getting suspended, but as of ~3 PM Eastern today, also would not be getting the record expunged or an apology.  Lawyers are on the case.  Considering the interrogation-without-parental-notice, and placing the child under sufficient stress to mess himself, I see a lawsuit coming.

And I **VERY** much suspect he just got his college education paid for. . .

More skinny-dipping in teh Sea of Stoopid tomorrow. . . .

And we're back, and no shortage of teh Burning Stoopid. . .

So. . .  off we go, on a whirlwind tour of the highlights of the utter conflagration of teh Burning Stoopid covering this planet, and the semi-evolved apes that claim to be its' highest life form.

Our first stop tonight is the town of Palmer, Massachusetts, and Old Pond Mill Elementary School.   Specifically, a 6-year old boy pulled a gun on the bus, and reportedly "caused quite a disturbance, and traumatized the other children on the bus", according to the driver.  Reportedly, one of the other students yelled "He's got a GUN!!!"

Authorities were summoned, and the EVIL BLACK GUN confiscated, and all was rainbows and bunnyrabbits.   Except for one TEENSY little fact: this is the gun in question:

Yes, it was a LEGO gun for a LEGO figureA little piece of injection-molded plastic with a peg to fit the hands of a typical 2-inch tall plastic figure. . .

Now, originally this young terrorist would have faced detention or suspension, was going to be forced to write a letter of apology, and, horror of horrors for a suburban kid, possibly lose his bus privileges (gee, that his parent's tax dollars have already paid for, but. . . .)

BUT. . . sense has fought through, even if it IS the People's Republic of Burning Stoopidchuetts, and the school has decided not to punish the boy. . . .

Still there's plenty of Stoopid to go around here.  For instance, the kid who screamed that the boy had a gun.   REALLY ???  Are kids THAT indoctrinated against the very idea of a gun causes do-gooder kids to scream warnings, and bus drivers to claim a bus full of kids has been traumatized ???  If that's the case, lock up the TV's, the typical Saturday Afternoon Monster Movie on the local UHF station  (OK, I'm dating myself here, on a old movies channel or whatever SyFy is calling itself this week . . ) would cause large masses of children to vaporlock as soon as the first scary scene hit. . .

******

Next, closer to home, we're having a Gubernatorial Election here in the Old DominionKen Cuccinelli, Tea-Party Conservative for the Repubs, and Terry McAuliffe, Clinton Crony for the Dems.

Terry has broken truly new ground in politics: he's blaming his father's death on George W. Bush.   No, Dubya never met the man, much less snuffed him out.  McAulliffe claims that the mere FACT of Dubya being elected killed his father. . .
REALLY, Terry ??  No wonder Hillary lost in 2008, if that's your political acumen. . .  call it, to paraphrase Ronaldus Magnus,  "Voodoo Politics" . . . .

******

Now, across the seas to the sand-drowned oil-washed wilds of Saudi Arabia, where two housemaids have been found guilty of Sorcery, and sentenced to 10 years in prison and 1000 lashes of the whip.  Now, assuming they SURVIVE the 1000 lashes, I'm QUITE sure that one or both will turn out to be, shall we say, "magically" with child.

Simply because both physical and sexual abuse of domestic help is endemic with the estimated 1.5-2 million domestic employees who live and work in Saudi households.  Almost all are foreigners, doing the work that Saudis just won't do. Which all to often has fringe "benefits" like not getting paid, being beaten, or rape.  Because, after all, they're not Saudis, and many aren't even Muslims.

******

But the creme de la crap of this week's Burning Stoopid takes us back to the shores of old Blighty. . . .

Remember Drummer Lee Rigby ??  The British soldier murdered in cold blood and beheaded on the streets of London ??

A moment of remembrance: Mr. Rigby left behind a 2-year old son, a wife he was separated from, and a young fiancee he was planning to marry. . .

Well, the London Metropolitan Police stand ready to stop any violent reaction to this horrible murder of an innocent soldier, husband, and father, by a pair of Radical Islamist savages,  right ???

Well. . . .sort of.  They've arrested English Patriots for Facebook Posts critical of Islam.  They've arrested an 85-year-old lady yelling insults outside a mosque
They've responded to Islamic reports of "vandalization" of Mosques. . .

Oddly enough, they're NOT arresting whoever was responsible for vandalizing British military memorials with "ISLAM" and grafitti. . . .

Yep.  SOP.  Musn't upset the Muslims. . . .

/boggle.

I'll be back with more Burning Stoopid in a day or three. . .

Wednesday, May 29, 2013

We'll be back shortly. . . .

. . . .I'm just swamped with work, AND fighting a bug.  Besides, it's not like teh Stoopid is going anywhere. . .

Terrorism ? YA THINK ??????? Nuclear-level Burning Stoopid in the UK. . . .

Originally, I was planning on skewering the vegetables-that-walk-like men who blamed this week's Oklahoma Tornadoes on Globull Wormening or the Republicans or both. . . .

And then I heard the news on the way home.  How a British soldier was run over, hacked to death, and beheaded by two men with knives, machetes, and a meat cleaver.

First things first: prayers and condolences to the family, friends, and comrades-in-arms of the soldier, assigned to the King's Troop, Royal Horse Artillery at Wollwich Barracks.  The soldier was wearing a T-shirt for "Help for Heroes", a British charity that helps British soldiers, wounded in the line of duty.  It's a worthy cause, and worth a donation.   I just did. . . .
******

Now. . . .  on with the rant. . .

This rampant political correctness is positively SUICIDE for Western Civilization.   Friends, the barbarians are ALREADY inside the gates, and we refuse to even alert the guards, much less take up arms and defend all that we stand for: Liberty, Rationality, and the Rule of Law.

British Prime Minister David Cameron was quoted as saying that the attack "appeared to be terror-related".   Gee, YA THINK ???  Even MORE wishy-washy were two anonymous Government officials, who spoke off the record and said that the attack "seemed to have been ideologically motivated by radical Islam".    REALLY ?   Two guys who RUN OVER A SOLDIER IN THE STREET, then hack him to death with a machete, some long knives, and a meat-cleaver, and then BEHEAD him ??  All while shouting "Allahu Ahkbar", and "in our land, women have to see this every day". . .   I suppose they might have been incensed by Fox cancelling "Firefly", but I doubt it.  Pardon my language, but WHAT THE FUCK ??  I mean, WHAT THE FUCKING FUCK do they think this was ???  And beheading ??  Not too many people behead people anymore, and they ALL seem to be terrorists of one sort or another.  In fact, the last time I remember a beheading in the news, it was Al-Qaeda beheading Wall Street Journal Bureau Chief Daniel Pearl.

I take this personally: I lost 13 friends and colleagues in the Pentagon on 9/11: I **HEARD** American 77 fly by my office building, and felt the floor shake when it rammed the Pentagon 2 miles away.

That's the day I recognized we were at war.  Since then, I've learned that, to the best of my knowledge, The Long War (download link) began in March 1968.  So, we're 55 years into it. . . .and we're LOSING.  We're so afraid of OFFENDING someone, that we've effectively surrendered.  There IS, at least, a little good news tonight: it appears that the English Defence League is on the move and patrolling Woolwich tonight.  Good on ya, lads, next time I'm in London, I need to buy some of you a pint.  Shockingly, they've been met by police in riot gear.  THEY aren't the problem. . . .

Now, I'm in favor of law enforcement, but where was the Metropolitan Police, when it took **20** minutes to respond to the "incident", because they needed to call in an armed unit.  Once again, proving what many people here in the States say, that when seconds count, the police are minutes away.  And the Bobbies are stopping the wrong people.  After all, it's not the EDL people who callously attacked and mutilated a soldier. . .

This also highlights the need for free citizens to be allowed to carry the means of self-defense.   We already know why incidents like this take place in disarmed areas, like London, and Boston, and elementary-school "Gun-free" zones: it's EASY to do terror and kill when you know you're not going to be counter-attacked.   Try it in, say, Texas, and you'll be suffering a 45-caliber cerebral hemorrhage by the time you started swinging the first knife: before, even, if they cried out "Allahu Ahkbar!" first. . .

Friends, people have been warning us about this for years.  Jihadwatch comes to mind.  As does the semi-fictional essay by author Dan Simmons, "The Time Traveler". . .there are many who've sounded the alarm. .  .

But at this point, I fear what it's going to take to wake us all up.  I suspect we're going to lose a city or three, and then all hell will break loose when we finally decide that first, we've had enough, and second, that it's time for Islam to pay the piper.

This, is the Buckman Scenario.  For those who have never read Tom Kratman's "Caliphate", this is the back-story that shows up as vignettes throughout the novel.  It starts in the near-future, and yes, we lose several cities, and nearly lose several more.  Only then, after politicians STILL don't respond. . . the people do, and a new government is elected.  It's not a pretty tale, but you ought to read it anyway (and the book is free at the link. . . ).   The way things are going, I'm pretty sure that this is the likely general path for all our futures.  And it's not going to be a pleasant one. . . .

The saddest part of all of this, is that I **KNOW** quite a few Muslims.  They're good people.  But, for some reason unknown, all too many radicalize.  I've heard it attributed to the aggressive missionary work of the Wahabbi Movement, funded by Saudi Petrodollars (and THAT, reportedly, is due to their support of the House of Saud. . . ).  I've read other opinions that it's due to the rise of the Muslim Brotherhood.  All I do know, is that Islam does not seem to have gone through the equivalent of the Reformation that split Western Protestantism from Roman Catholicism in Christianity, and that there are no real centralized authorities in Islam.

I really hope that the "moderate Muslims" we keep hearing about in the news finally succeed in policing the more radical and violent.  Because, if this keeps on, and keeps escalating. . . well, I rather suspect that all too many Muslims will finally see the light, at the end. . .

Green-sistance is Futile: you will be En-Stoopi-cated !!!

This morning, your humble Wizard arrived at work, where he does wizardry of a different sort to IT systems: you could say I'm into Wards and Charms. . .

. . . .when into the corporate mailbox pops this note. . .

(Location-removed-to-protect-the-guilty) Green Agenda-REMINDER MEMO

Huh ?  We have a green agenda ??  Check the "from".  Ah, the "Office Manager".  Who wears Birkenstocks and funky organic-cotton skirts and such, and is always complaining about the lack of Herbal Teas for the Flavia machine in the employee break room. . .

It begins. . .

A greener workplace can mean a lighter ecological footprint, a healthier and more productive place to work, and good news for the bottom line. Whether you’re the boss or the employee, whether your office is green already or still waiting to see the light, some practical steps can lay the groundwork for a healthy, low-impact workspace.
Yadda yadda crunchy shibboleths.  I am a tool-user who adapts his environment to HIS needs, not the other way around. . . .  and I need to see the Light ???  oboy. . . .

Use Green Materials
Some paper use can't be avoided, so use Office Recycle Bins to recycled paper and envelopes that have been processed and colored using eco-friendly methods. Pens and pencils can also be made of recycled materials, and refillable pens and markers are preferable to disposable ones. Use biodegradable soaps and recycled paper or cloth towels in the bathroom and kitchen, and provide biodegradable cleaners for the custodial staff. Recycling printer cartridges is often free, and recycled replacements are cheaper than new ones.
Gee. . . this from the office manager who is IN CHARGE of OFFICE SUPPLIES ??  Not that we use much paper: we have all of 3 printers on our entire floor. . . and ONE is in her office.  My first day, I got a folder from her with at least half an inch of papers in it as a "welcome packet".  All of which was viewable online in the corporate intranet portal. . . As for the paper and pens: all generic mid-grade stuff from the local Office Supply vendor,  NOTHING refillable.  Virgin paper.   Oh well. . .

And then, the topper. . .
Lunch Time
Bringing lunch to work in reusable containers is likely the greenest (and healthiest) way to eat at work. Getting delivery and takeout almost inevitably ends with a miniature mountain of packaging waste. But if you do order delivery, join coworkers in placing a large order (more efficient than many separate ones).
Also, bring in your personal reusable plates, utensils (Knife, Forks & Spoons), mugs, and cups. If you do go out for lunch, try biking or walking instead of driving.
Now, I brown-bag it routinely, not because I'm green, but because I'm thrifty AND trying to lose some weight (It interferes with the Levitation Spells. . .I need THREE bat wings now, when it used to take just one. . . ) But now I'm supposed to get what everyone else is getting when they order takeout ??  I don't think so.  The local Chinese place is vile, and the Pizza joint has enough grease to lube the treads of an entire Armored Division.   But I should sublimate MY needs, for the wishes of the many ?   This ain't Star Trek. . .  or maybe it IS. . .

Add to that, something I saw over the weekend.  A report out from the Useless Nitwits telling us that we should eat bugs as a "sustainable alternative to traditional meat production".  191 pages telling us we should ranch bugs rather than cattle.  Heck the San Francisco Chronicle's website says not only is it greener and more sustainable, it will cure both world hunger and obesity. . .

Now, the last claim, I'd believe.  A LOT of people would starve before they ate a bug-burger.   Not only does it tell us the "advantages" of an insect-based diet. but lays out a campaign to fight "food aversion".  In other words, in the eyes of these UN types. . . .eating bugs will NOT be optional.

Yep.  The Greens ARE the Borg. . . .in Birkenstocks.  Now, where is a Phaser when I need one ??
******
We have a few runners-up today. . . .

Meet Kaitlyn Hunt.  Lovely, bright 18-year old High School Senior. . . .
She's been expelled from school, and threatened with jail time.

Because she had a younger girlfriend, and, as high-school couples often do, they got busy.

But, the parents of her girlfriend found out, and apparently, they don't like teh ghey, and wanted to punish the horrid beast that defiled and despoiled their precious fount of virtue, virginity, and otherwise popped the bubble of their constructed reality. . .

But she's currently facing 15 years in the slammer, all because she was 18 and her girlfriend was 15. (Note: WTF were they thinking: Sending a lesbian to a WOMAN'S PRISON???  If you want to punish her, sentence her to 15 years of endless Justin Bieber. . . .)   Funny, I don't see them prosecuting all the Senior-Sophomore and Senior-Freshman couples.  Oh, they're straight, that's ACCEPTABLE . . .   Bovine excrement, and Kaitlyn and her GF weren't going to get preggers, which at least a few of the Hetero couples will. . . .

There's a petition supporting Kate, asking the local DA to back off.  It worked for Science Fair Girl, hopefully it will work here, too.  Your Wizard signed, and hopes you will too, if for nothing else than to fight teh stoopid. . .
******
Lastly, the Town of Radstock, in Somerset, England, has decided to ban the traditional English flag, the Cross of Saint George.

Because, it might offend the Muslims. . . .  We've been here before.  Because, YAAFM. . . .

. . . and that is about all of teh Burning Stoopid I can handle today. . .

It's EU teh Stoo-pid Man!!!

No, we're not talking the classic cartoon today. . .
. . .but it DOES involve the man-handling of Olive Oyl. . . or, more correctly, Olive Oil.

The Bureaucrats of the European Union have decided on the course of action to protect the EU from any further economic shocks or downturns.  No, it doesn't involve austerity, or changing the rules of the European Central Bank.  It's FAR more important: it's protecting EU citizens from the scourge of artisan Olive Oil. . .

Many restaurants place a jug of olive oil, or a dipping bowl full of olive oil, on their tables.  But as of January 1, 2014, such traditional serving of condiments will be VERBOTEN in Buro-Fortress Europe.   This is, allegedly, to protect consumers from fake olive oil, and improve hygiene. . .

And of course the Officially Certified and Hygenic Olive Oil must be served in factory-sealed containers, with proper EU Standard labeling on it. So much for supporting local farmers or specialty varieties: alles MUST be in Ordnung in the EU-State. The EU is apparently out of OTHER problems, and now is focusing its' attention on "Food Fraud".

Now, what REALLY stinks about this is that it's just 100% Crony Capitalism.  (OK, since it's Europe, it's Crony Socialism, but you get the point. . . .)

As an aside, your Wizard lives out on the far edge of the suburbs, where there are as many farms and orchards as subdivisions.  And, at least for produce and such, we support local farmers by buying at the Farmer's Market, for things that CAN be grown around here (come the fall, we're hip-deep in apples around here. . . ).  And we occasionally fill the freezer with meat from a local farm that raises "heritage" breeds of pigs and cows.  The flavors and texture are different.  Not saying BETTER, but having a change every so often is a good thing.  Sure, we hit the local Food Lion or similar for stuff, burgers, etc, but a really good roast or steak is a fine thing every so often.

Well, this little EU proposal will lock out all the "heritage" and "artisanal" olive oils grown and pressed in Europe, in favor of generic, standardized big-brand olive oil.  But many restaurants have long-standing relationships with Olive grower/pressers, just as they do with local wineries.  And this will turn little family restaurants into, as this sort of thing occurs to more and more products, McSame restaurants with individual names and decor, but all selling the same basic food.  And that's not just bland, that's positively soul-numbing.  Which may, after all, be the point.  Doing things differently may lead to thinking for yourself, and perhaps even QUESTIONING AUTHORITY, and we just can't have that, now can we ???

And so. . . .  They're Dumb to the finish. . .  they regulate Spinach. . .

. . . . .they're EU the Stoopid Man !!!!

A follow-up to Teh Burning Stoopid Zone . . . . .

Remember Adam Kokesh and his "Armed Citizen March on DC" ???

We have news. . . .  evidence has emerged that Mr. Kokesh is ACTUALLY working for the Obama campaign organization.   This little tidbit was found on Facebook:

Originally, I was worried about the wisdom of this march, and its' vulnerability to an agent provocateur, but now, we face the real possibility that this is a false-flag operation.  STRONGLY suggest not going, or even being in the area of the Memorial Bridge in DC on July 4th. . .

Full details, (with just a bit of tinfoil) at the Patriot News Organization.

Until next time. . .

Alice in Stoopidland

. . .amongst my travels, here and there, in the world and on the web, I occasionally find a nugget of the purest Burning Stoopid.  And unlike Dragnet, here in the catalog, we change names to protect the guilty (and keep from getting sued. . . )

So, we'll call this nugget "Alice" She's got a Bachelors' and a Masters' in, basically, arts and crafts.  She also teaches those very same arts and crafts at a small trade school.  Which is apparently closing down, or at least closing her program.  Sorry to hear that, but that's life in the Obamapression.  Perhaps if you taught a useful, in-demand skill, you wouldn't be getting blindsided by the Education Bubble. (and a h/t Glenn Reynolds, the Instapundit, for describing the concept. . . )

But more importantly, "Alice" has led to at least one story here in the Catalog, about the failing bookstore that didn't want to move. . .

However, TODAY, it was jackpot time.  A piece by "Soraya Chemaly" about why Feminism is still needed.   A turgid collection of politically-correct shibboleths, delivered in a breathy stream of alleged consciousness. . .

No funny pictures, no videos, just commentary and links.  Because teh Stoopid here is a wildfire proportions. . .

So, let's start in on our tour of Stoopidland, shall we ???
Because to men, a key is a device to open something. For women, it’s a weapon we hold between our fingers when we’re walking alone at night.
No, it's a key.  You use it to open locks.  If you're so worried about walking alone, you might want to up your situational awareness.  Better still, if you feel that you might need to defend yourself, you probably should consider a weapon that can be used at a distance, and not only when up close and at a disadvantage.   Something like a good pepper spray, a taser, or, better still, a personal defense handgun. . .

Because last month, my politics professor asked the class if women should have equal representation in the Supreme Court, and only three out of 42 people raised their hands.
Ahem.  Someone needs to remind Miss Chemaly that Equality means equality of opportunity, not equality of outcomes. . .

She goes on:

Because only 29 percent of American women identify as feminist, and in the words of author Caitlin Moran, “What part of ‘liberation for women’ is not for you? Is it freedom to vote? The right not to be owned by the man you marry? The campaign for equal pay? Did all that good shit get on your nerves? Or were you just drunk at the time
of the survey?”
Because when people hear the term feminist, they honestly think of women burning bras. Dude, have you ever bought a bra? No one would burn them because they’re freaking expensive.
Gee, only a minority agree with your position.  Because "movement feminism" pretty much ended 30+ years ago.  And, frankly, people were tiring of always-aggrieved, strident, angry "feminists" who considered men the enemy.

And that's a VERY selective definition of "feminism".  I can think of a strong woman, who ran for office and won, and went on to some very hard political fights.   But according to the OFFICIAL feminists. . . Sarah Palin is not a feminist.  Yep. Being a feminist is like being Hispanic. . . .it requires a certain ideology. . .

Oh, and burning bras ??  It happened. . . not QUITE in the way popular culture tells us it did. . . but it happened.

She goes on. . .
Because 138 House Republicans voted against the Violence Against Women Act. All 138 felt it shouldn’t provide support for Native women, LGBT people or immigrant women. I’m kind of confused by this, because I thought LGBT people and women of color were also human beings.
Ah, yes, evil, racist, hater Rethuglicans.  They voted against because they hate women so much.

Except, of course. . . that Gay men aren't women.  Nor are Cross-dressers.  And as for the vote mentioned. . . .the Violence Against Women Act also did a number of things to which they objected.  Like remove constitutional rights from US citizens charged in Tribal Courts.  Or include protections for same-sex couples in violation of the Defense of Marriage Act.  Et cetera.

This brings up a hoary tradition in Washington Politics: candy-coat objectionable legislation with nice names, so that opponents are caught in the "Have you quit beating your wife yet ?" conundrum. . .  We've seen this before, all the civil liberty restrictions and limits added by the PATRIOT Act, and we've seen the cost of medical care and insurance skyrocket since the passage of the Affordable Care Act. . . it's an old Washington standby, and both parties use it. . .

She even hits old Rush Limbaugh, simply "Because Rush Limbaugh".   OK, you don't like the Rushmeister.  So put forward an argument, ok ???

And then, the Pièce de résistance. . .

Because out of 7 billion people on the planet, more than 1 billion women will be raped or beaten in their lifetimes. Women and girls have their clitorises cut out, acid thrown on them and broken bottles shoved up them as an act of war. Every second of every day. Every corner of the Earth.
Why, yes, there ARE people who do that, routinely.  You may have heard of them.  We call them Muslims. Who routinely do female genital mutilation, one rarely hears of it done outside of Islamic Culture.  Acid attacks also mostly center on South Asia and the Middle East. And Broken Bottle Rapes also tend to show up associated with Islam. . .

Yes, teh stoopid is strong with Miss Chemaly.    Time will tell if she gets better. . .

And sometimes, teh Stoopid is more than skin-deep. . .

Meet Yusuf Hameed.  He's having problems finding a job.  In fact, he's applied for over 450 jobs in the last year, but nobody has hired him.  And he thinks that's sad. . . .

Hmm. . . . .  wonder why that might be.  It couldn't have anything to do with looking like an crazed Amish Axe Murderer, could it ???  But there's MORE. . .
Not content with the Skinhead look, he added MORE tats to the back of his head. .  .

He claims he got his first tat when he was 14: he's 40 now.  So being young and stupid is no excuse.  But he still thinks employers should give him a chance.

So, what you all of you, dear readers, think ??  Perhaps let his hair grow back, trim the beard,  lose the forehead tattoo ??   Because if not, all I can see him getting is roles as an extra in sequels to this. . . .

Or perhaps it's more than ink. . . it's embedded Burning Stoopid. . . .
******

Now, I've been ragging on Baghdad Bob 2.0, aka Jay Carney, who claimed to Piers Morgan (no stranger to teh Burning Stoopid himself. . . ) that he doesn't see ANY scandals. . . .
But THIS takes the cake. . . the latest trial balloon out of the White House is that, it's not planning, it's not skullduggery, it's not politics

“We’re portrayed by Republicans as either being lying or idiots. It’s actually closer to us being idiots.”

Gee, the Administration CAN tell the truth, sometimes. . .

But then they''re back to fiddling while Rome burns.  In this case, LITERALLY. . .

Yes, it's time for yet another big-star, spare-no-expense concert for the President and his Wookiee in the White House. . . .  while the nation burns. . . with teh Burning Stoopid. . . .

Teh Stoopid is BREEDING. . . . .

. . . .but not if one British Doctor has anything to say about it.

Meet Justin Landen, MD, of the Hill Barton Surgery, in Exeter, Devon, Great Britain.
He reportedly cares DEEPLY about Mother Earth. And how do we know that ?  Because he gives unsolicited advice that "having more than two children is irresponsible", to his patients. Specifically, one that came in, not for an OB/GYN consult, but because she had possible tonsilitis. . . .  He also inferred that she was "on benefits" (i.e. welfare, to us Yanks).   So now it becomes clear: he's not against PEOPLE breeding, he's against the POOR breeding.   Now, while he may have a point (as any of us who have read Kornbluth's "The Marching Morons" would recognize. . . ), teh Stoopid here is BLURTING IT OUT TO THE PATIENT.

******

Indeed, teh Stoopid is strong in the British Isles today. In fact, we have a Double Dose of teh Burning Stoopid today.

Meet Eoin McKeogh, Irish College Student at Dublin City University . .

Some time back, a video was made of someone running out on a cab fare.  That somebody was NOT Eoin, but apparently looked like him. . .which someone commented on, in a response to the original video.  And much harassment and laughter followed, all over the net.   So what did young Eoin do?  Try to clear his name ?  Ride it out ?  Turn it into internet stardom, like Mahir or Libby Hoeller ???

No, he was VERY American about it. . .   he SUED Google and YouTube, to take down the Video.  Not the actual comment, but the entire video.  And, today, he got a Judge to agree.  Because Eoin said it was possible, even if "inconvenient" for Google and YouTube. . .

Because, of course, it's EASY to permanently remove something from the Net.   Not.

I have but one reaction. . . .

Lastly, a follow-up from an earlier story, that of Science Fair Girl.   The charges have been dropped. That they were booked, is yet another instance of. . . . .
